That's Our Baby!!

We went to the Dr. today because when we went last week we couldn't hear the heartbeat very well. Today they did an ultrasound so we could hear the heartbeat. A total bonus was that we were also able to see our baby! It's 2-2.5" long right now. It's so awesome!!! That is OUR child! It was so cool to see. I almost cried... But Sarah would have made fun of me... :)

Look at those lil' feet!!

Week eleven. Look at those little feet! The toes separated. We were looking on this one website and it has pictures that are during the growth of a fetus. We are so EXCITED!! We are going to be going to the dr. this week. We're hoping that we'll be able to hear our child's heartbeat. Sarah has gone 2 days without throwing up. Terrific!

To my Valentine...

Sarah, I don’t know how I can put my feelings into words. I know that at times, I may not do everything that I should. I make a lot of mistakes. Sometimes I even make the same mistakes multiple times. I am trying. I try everyday to do better. I try to show how much I love you. I do love you. Over the past month I have been able to change my view of you; from not only my wife, but as the mother of our children. I am so excited to be a parent with you. Are children will look to you with love and respect. You have taught me so much in the short time we have known each other. We are having a child. I look forward to walking through eternity with your hand in mine. I am yours forever.

I just don't know what to do...

So... Sarah has been sick for the past week. She can't eat much and what she does usually comes back up. It's hard to see her miserable. I don't know what I can do to help her. It really is a feeling of helplessness. It's hard. I know it's not as hard as what she is going through, but really is hard to see her like this. It's totally bitter-sweet though because our child is developing inside her. So, I am excited to be going through the process of becoming a parent but... it's hard. I guess they say that, "Anything that is worth it, is not going to be easy." (That's a total paraphrase) It is hard. It's really going to be worth it! I love Sarah! She is such a tough woman. She's my hero right now.

Pregnancy...

Pregnancy does some funny things to people...
The other night Sarah was really hungry and we went to Chuck-A-Rama. We got food and Sarah matched me plate for plate. This is totally amazing when you realize that she normally has a hard time finishing one plate worth of food. Growing a baby takes a lot of energy!!

So Weird!

Alright, a little side note... School has started and I'm totally loving it. The schedule and teaching has locked into place. Things have started to run smoothly. It's great!
Side note over... Ok. This past week or so I got a call from my dad saying that someone had called him from California saying that they had a pair of scriptures of mine. They had tracked down my dad and called him and got the address to send them up. So they arrived and they were infact, mine.
The plot thickens...

Back in the year 2000, I was fresh off my mission and wanted a new pair of scriptures. I had bought this new pair and got them embossed with my name on the front with a new carrier and everything. I threw them in my backpack and went to a park with a friend. On returning to the car I had discovered that my backpack (containing my school books, Oakley sunglasses, eye glasses, and brand new scriptures) had been stolen!

Which brings us back to the recent week afore mentioned... The scriptures that were in side my backpack that was stolen back in 2000 were once again in my possession. They still looked and smelled brand new too! They even still had my highlighting pencil and some of my papers that were from an assignment I had for a religion class. I was amazed!

So, now the question I pose is... "Why in the world did these people in California have my scriptures that were stolen 7 1/2 years ago from a car parked at a park in Provo Utah?" I'm planning on writing them back and seeing if they can help me piece this together. If anyone has any possible answers to my question, please feel free to help me out. So weird!
